Atlanta -- Former Georgia Bulldog and Waycross native Fred Gibson has been cut from the Atlanta Falcons.
Gibson signed with Atlanta this off-season, after spending the last two years on the Dolphins practice squad.
The receiver was drafted by Pittsburgh in the 4th round in 2005, and has yet to play a down in the NFL.
Gibson is the second-leading receiver in Bulldog history, catching 161 passes for almost three-thousand yards and 20 touchdowns.
