Albany--Late night fun at an Albany bar came to an abrupt end Thursday morning after someone fired gun shots outside that place of business.
The person responsible still remains on the loose. The shooting happened outside the Sports Zone Bar and Grill located at 703 South Slappey Boulevard around 2:45 AM.
According to witnesses, about 100 people were inside the bar when they heard five gun shots being fired outside. A security guard inside immediately shut the bar down after hearing those shots.
Those gun shots did result in damage to at least one car, a Mitsubishi Eclipse. One gun shot pierced the driver's side of that car.
Fortunately there are no injuries to report, but police say they still don't know the motive for that shooting.
Police have no one in custody for this early morning drive by.
Witnesses told police they saw a black man in possibly a blue Ford Taurus fire shots at the sports bar before heading south.
If you have any information that could lead to an arrest, you're asked to call Albany Police at 431-2100.
