Albany High's Ferrell staying close to home in college

Albany - Albany High baseball standout Tres Ferrell is taking his multiple baseball talents to Albany State University.

Ferrell signed a scholarship to play baseball for Edward Taylor's Rams Tuesday afternoon.

Ferrell played four positions for the Tribe including pitcher where he had 47 strikeouts in 45 innings and an earned run average of 2.25.

Ferrell also had a .333 batting average.

Tres may be leaving Albany Hight but he wanted to thank the coaches and teacher for helping him live his dream of playing college baseball.
