Americus -- A Sumter Regional Hospital employee's heart felt letter helps the damaged hospital raise a thousand dollars towards recovery efforts.
Sumter Regional Hospital was virtually destroyed in the March first tornado. Wade Cozier, an employee in the Hospital's Plant Operations Department, wrote a letter to family and friends explaining the hospital's situation.
The letter apparently touched one of the recipients, Mr. William Rainwater in Jonesboro, Arkansas, because he sent the hospital a thousand dollar donation.
To date the hospital has raised more than a half million dollars for the hospital's reconstruction fund.
