Albany - It looks like the city of Albany will provide financial assistance to the Flint Riverquarium just in time to keep them from shutting down.

Some legal issues still have to be worked out, but at Tuesday's city commission meeting, there was a general consensus that commissioners want to save the attraction. The city manager is still waiting on a legal opinion to make sure the city can funnel the money through ADICA, but intends to recommend the city do that and vote on giving the money to the Riverquarium.
