Macon - The Federal Grand Jury probing a south Georgia court system is now underway in Macon.

A number of court officials from the Alapaha Judicial Circuit received subpoenas last month to appear before the grand jury this week.  Court documents were also subpoenaed.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and US Attorney's office is looking into several accounts and orders created by Chief Superior Court Judge Brooks Blitch, who's Clinch County office was raided by agents last month.

Case investigators would not comment further but said they expect the grand jury proceedings to continue for the next several weeks.
