Lowndes County - A Brooks County teen was killed in a weekend car crash.

21-year-old Shanon Devan of Valdosta and 18-year-old Amy Cason of Dixie were in Devan's Mitsubishi Eclipse headed south on Madison Highway late Saturday night.

When they tried to turn onto White Water Road, they were hit by a Ford Contour driven by Clara Beck of Florida.

Cason was killed when the Contour hit the passenger side of the Eclipse.

Investigators say both drivers were treated for minor injuries and released from South Georgia Medical Center.

Charges are pending.
