Shots ring out after a Thomas County home invasion

Thomas County -- One man is injured after a home invasion in Thomas county ends in gunfire.

Thomas Mitchell was shot during the crossfire last night on Marshall and Hurst Streets and was transported to Archbold Memorial Hospital.

The shooting happened just before midnight in Meigs, Georgia. The thieves stole a couple hundred dollars from the home.

Police have one man in custody charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, and kidnapping.

They are not releasing his name at this time. Other arrests could be pending.
