Harrell wins medalist honors at U.S. Amateur Public Links

Wheaton, Il. - Hazelhurst's Mark Harrell won the medalist title at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.

Harrell, who plays at the University of Alabama, had four birdies on the back nine to shoot a 70 and finish at -5.

Harrell is the top seed heading into match play Wednesday afternoon where he will play Andy Roberts from Owensboro, Kentucky in the first round.
