Lee County-- Lee County leaders may soon find out if consolidating emergency services is a good option.
County commissioners are exploring the idea of cross-training EMS workers and firefighters. The idea hasn't gone very far in the past.
Lee County administrator Alan Ours said Wednesday night he's talking with the Carl Vinson Institute about performing a study to outline the pros and cons of the idea. A committee of Lee County leaders and citizens could also work with the institute.
