Albany - Publicity of hard times at the Flint Riverquarium may actually be boosting attendance.

From June of last year, to this past June, attendance has increased 6% at the Riverquarium. Also, revenue, which includes ticket receipts and gift store sales, is up almost 20%.

The Flint Riverquarium is also working on other events to bring in more people and more money to the facility. Wendy Bellacomo said, "Venom is still here, all the venomous creatures of the area. We have a new 3-D movie this summer, Wild-Safari 3-D. We're the only 3-D movie theater in this part of the state, so that's definitely people need to come out and see."

Another new addition to the Riverquarium allows you to sleep with the fish, hosting group sleep overs at the Blue Hole.
