Albany - - Some Albany health advocates are encouraging you to walk it out. The Southwest Georgia Community Health Institute wants people looking for a place to exercise to utilize the Walking Trail on Meredyth Drive in Albany. The institute says obesity is a major health concern and regular walking can help. Walkers say they enjoy the trail.

"It's nice. It's pretty and I like the fact that it's a mile around the whole way around. You don't have to lap it a few times just to make a mile," says April Wimberly.

Twice a week Albany Disc Jockey Jaxon Riley visits the trail to promote the walking program by handing out water and cheering on walkers.
