Plant employees injured by fire - WALB.com, Albany News, Weather, Sports

Fitzgerald  -- Investigators in Ben Hill County are trying to determine what caused a fire at a plastics manufacturing plant that injured five workers.

Fitzgerald fire units responded to a call early Saturday morning at Modern Dispersions South Incorporated, also known as MDI, on Ed Ward Road. The fire started sometime after 2:00AM.

The company won't say much about the extent of the injuries, but EMS officials say that three employees were flown to the Augusta Burn Center where they remained Monday evening.
