Albany - - Get ready for a brand new tradition in downtown Albany. Starting Saturday, you'll be able to get fresh produce without stepping into a store.

Area farmers will offer all types of fruits and vegetables for sale, including organically grown foods. The farmers market will be held right in the parking garage on Broad Avenue and Jackson Street. Organizers say there will be a little something for everyone.

"We're promising the community that we will have plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits that are grown in this region by our local farmers," says Linda Riggins.

The market will be open from eight am until one pm and will continue each Saturday.
