Thomasville - Former Florida State Heisman Trophy winner Charlie Ward is ready for a new venture in coaching.
Ward has been assistant coach for the Houston Rockets since his playing days ended two years ago is giving up pro basketball.
Charlie will work next season season as an assistant coach at a private high school in Houston. And the former Thomas County Central great is looking forward to the challenge.

Charlie Ward was in his hometown this week for his annual kids basketball camp.
