Macon - College football coaches and players are enjoying the relaxing days of summer.
Yes, the coaches are busy with camps and many players are attending summer school and working out for the coming season.
On Wednesday,, most of the state's college football coaches were in Macon for the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Media Day.
A day where coaches and select players know that the countdown to the start of the 2007 season is drawing even closer.
This year's even was a first for new Valdosta State head coach David Dean.
Dean, who was the Blazers offensive coordinator during the Chris Hatcher era, understands the expectations VSU fans have for their football team.
David Dean said "Our guys know when you play in Valdosta people expect you to win. I mean they don't call it Winnersville for nothing. Everyday that is all people talk about. "How are you going to be next year?" They are talking about that as soon as you finish the season."
David Dean's first game as Valdosta State's head coach is September 1st against Albany State in Valdosta.
