Valdosta - A daycare worker in Valdosta has been charged with cruelty to children.
Dorthea Jones surrendered at the Lowndes County Jail Monday after a complaint that a toddler had been injured while in her care.
She ran the Cookie Loves Home Day Care on Greenridge Road.
The Bright from the Start program and the Department of Family and Children Services say they are conducting an investigation and could pursue more action based on the findings.
