Thomasville -- A Thomasville family mourns the death of their 28-year-old sailor son . Navy Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Jeremy Mack was killed Thursday in a motorcycle accident in San Diego, where he was receiving medical training for the Navy.

Tragically, the accident that took his life happened just the day before his graduation. "He had a lot of dreams and goals, and doing some things.  And he was doing those things, little by little," said Jeremy's father, Dwight.

Mack's parents say despite the minimal motorcycle laws in California, their son always wore a helmet and other protective gear when he rode.  Mack's father is talking with the Navy about establishing a fund for safe riders.

A patriotic motorcycle club from Valdosta will provide an escort to escort Mack's body from the Tallahassee Airport back to Thomasville.
