Albany -- A local youth group spends their summer days helping the community. The group of teen from Gillionville's First Baptist Church does their part to keep Turtle Park clean.

About 20 middle and high school students go to the park once a week to pick-up trash. "It's varied from week to week. One week we came out and there were newspapers everywhere. I don't know if they blow off a truck or something," said Youth Pastor Jonathon Haefs. "Sometimes we fill quite a few bags, but we do what we can."

The group meets up every Thursday between noon and two in the afternoon, but its not all work for the teens.

They do throw Frisbees and footballs around and occasionally have lunch before the clean-up.
