Moultrie -- A Colquitt County man arrested in February accused of plotting a murder-for-hire scheme, has been indicted by a Colquitt County grand jury.
49-year-old Shyamsunder G. Contractor was apprehended in Florida earlier this year after investigators learned he had sought to hire a contract killer to murder 9 Moultrie residents.
Investigators say Contractor wanted to take over several Moultrie convenience stores by killing off 3 families of owners. The grand jury indicted Contractor on nine counts of criminal attempt to commit murder.
