Albany - - WALB TV is helping people get connected with jobs.
Tuesday, WALB and the Dougherty County School System teamed up for a job fair at the Albany Mall. Hundreds of people showed up to meet face to face with companies looking to hire.
We have also launched a new JOB LINK section to our web site walb.com, where people who register can post their resume and learn about available jobs.
"Companies out there in Southwest Georgia are able to go and post their jobs and go and look for highly qualified people so that's one of the most powerful things about the whole thing together," says Bruce Austin.
If you missed the job fair, don't worry. We plan to offer one more later this year and four more next year.
