National leaders of the NAACP join state members in a rally on the capitol Monday.
They met on the steps of the Georgia capitol this afternoon to show their opposition to Attorney General Thurbert Baker.
Baker is appealing a judge's decision to release 21 year old Genarlow Wilson from prison.
Wilson was sentenced to 10 years in prison for having consensual sex with a 15 year old when he was 17 years old.
Albany NAACP President Marvin Jones says the Attorney General's decision will weigh heavily when the public returns to the polls.
Black state lawmakers called for a special session of the state Legislature to help free Wilson.
