Albany - Old Glory is flying high today as people across the nation celebrate Flag Day. On Thursday, Children and veterans alike came together, to honor the message of the flag and our freedom.

Here's what veteran G. C. Croft had to say About the even:

"The flag represents the greatest country in the world as far as I'm concerned. We have freedom to do all the things we want to do. Every time I get around the flag, I kind of get chills, you know? That is the reason it is so important to us and of course being a veteran and seeing things like they are overseas, it's much better if we can leave things over there instead of fighting over here. I respect the flag and my country, our president. It's even more important today."
