Thomasville -- Child pornography warrants are issued for a longtime Thomas County school teacher.
Forty-nine-year old Bill Rockel taught technology at Thomas County Middle School. Investigators say a school system computer technician turned Rockel's computer over to them after finding child pornography on it.
Rockel resigned at the end of the school year and is expected to turn himself in for arrest.
"There was some material that was questionable," Investigator Tim Watkins of the Thomas County Sheriff's Office. "We gave it to a pediatrician to take a look at and based on his professional opinion he thought the images on there were under the age of 18."
Rockel is charged with possession of material depicting a minor in sexually explicit conduct. He's also charged with computer trespassing for bypassing the school's computer filter. Rockel taught with the system 29 years.
