Albany -- A Lee County mailman got a special delivery from the Georgia Lottery Corporation, 50-thousand bucks.

Postal worker Martin Akins purchased a Jumbo Bucks Classic lottery ticket at the AM/PM food mart on South Slappey Boulevard in Albany last week.

When he scratched it off, he saw he won 50-thousand dollars.

He asked the clerk to confirm his winnings, and sure enough, turns out he won the top prize in that game.

Akins tells The Georgia Lottery Corporation that he plans to use the money to pay off bills and enhance vacation plans.
