Lee County--  Lee County leaders are a step closer to finalizing their budget that will not raise taxes despite tight finances.

Tuesday night, Lee County commissioners approved a tentative millage rate. It will remain the same as last year, just a little less than 13 mils.

Instead of a tax increase, Lee leaders finalized a budget this week that will cut services and increase fees. Recreation, garbage and business license fees will go up.

The final budget will be adopted next Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the assembly room of the County Administration Building.
