Albany -- A warning to boaters and campers along the Flint River, pirates have invaded the waters. Miniature south Georgia pirates that is.

Today 48 campers or..."pirates", participated in the fifth annual River Pointe Pirates Battle on the Flint River at Georgia Power public park complete with a real pirate ship.

"The kids I teach how to sail the ship, how to drive the ship. The safety of boating the safety of the water. And in the morning we play golf. " says Jos Bekker of River Pointe Golf Club.

Tuesday's event also included a treasure hunt on candy island followed by a cookout. It's all a part of the River Pointe Golf Club's summer camp that will wrap up on June 16th.
