Americus- A million dollar lottery ticket is sold at an Americus convenience store. Physical Education teacher Gary Simpson of McDonough was on his way to his aunt's 80th birthday party when he stopped at the Danfair Express on Highway 27 in Americus.
Simpson bought a Georgia 500 Million Club ticket and won one million dollars.
Unfortunately since it was an instant game, the store won't share in Simpson's good fortune, but some players now consider it a lucky store.
