Callaway Gardens, GA -   Albany television station WALB received five GABBY Awards from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters.

Additionally, WALB Sports Director Robert Hydrick received two Merit Awards for Best Sports Story and Best Sportscast.

WALB Vice President & General Manager Jim Wilcox says, "We're pleased that our staff was recognized by the industry for our work in serving the community.  WALB is in the smallest television market in the state, so these awards reflect our level of commitment to our viewers.  My personal thanks to each of our 100 dedicated employees."
