Lowndes County - A Valdosta man led police on a high speed chase through three counties Thursday night before finally being caught.

Police in Homerville tried to pull over 26-year-old Jerome Williams for speeding on his motorcycle, but Williams wouldn't slow down.

He pulled onto Highway 38 and led them on a chase at speeds in excess of 130 miles per hour through Clinch, Lanier and Lowndes counties.

Once in Lowndes, he lost control of his bike while turning onto Indianola Circle and took off on foot.

Lowndes deputies quickly caught up and arrested him.

Williams is being charged with reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, and numerous other traffic violations.
