 June 8, 2007

Valdosta  --  A Jacksonville man receives life in prison for murdering his ex-girlfriend in Valdosta.

In November of 2005, Julonda Lecedric Clayton shot 29-year-old Deidra Miller of Lowndes County in front of her 4-year-old son.

Clayton then dropped him off at daycare and fled the area. Daycare workers called the police after the boy told them what he saw.

Clayton surrendered four days later in Fulton County. He also received 56 years on related charges. Miller is the sister of NFL linebacker Randall Godfrey.
