Albany - We told you earlier this week that Darton College would have a new athletic director very soon.
The search is now over.
Darton College announced on Thursday Michael Kiefer from Neosho County College in Chanute, Kansas has accepted the position.
Kiefer has been the athletic director and head men's soccer coach at Neosho for the last five years.
At Neosho, Kiefer oversaw an athletic department that had 14 teams.
Darton president Dr. Peter Sireno describes Michael Kiefer as a very forward thinking individual who will fit perfectly with the Cavaliers athletic department.
Dr. Peter Sireno said "I think that we have right now collectively the best coaches in probably in our particular region and this state for intercollegiate athletics. I am really optimistic about what we are going to see in all of our sports."
Michael Kiefer will begin his duties as Darton College's athletic director on July 16th.
