Tifton man gunned down in yard

June 5, 2007

Tifton-  Four people are in jail in a drive up murder at a Tifton mobile home park. Twenty one year old Ulisses Ibarra was gunned down in his sister's yard at this trailer park along Bill Bowen Road.

Witnesses say a gold Lincoln Towncar with four men inside pulled up and fired at Ibarra. Police later found the car and arrested 28 year old Jose Luis Cerceda Arellano, 17 year old Jaime Carbal Duran, 23 year old Jorge Javier Venegar and a 16 year old.

GBI agents say, an earlier argument may have led to the shooting.

"I think there had been an ongoing feud for some time for several months and there had been some verbal altercation earlier in the day, exactly what the source of that feud is we're not sure right now that's something we're trying to figure out," said Mike Lewis, Special Agent In Charge.

All four are charged with murder.
