Albany - - It's that time of year again where your generosity helps save the lives of children in need of medical care.

The Children's Miracle Network is calling on the community to donate to its cause. Representatives are taking phone calls at the Albany Mall this week from radio listeners.

Health care workers say the money you donate helps them provide up to date care to children in need.

"The technology for medical care is advancing so much that we have to keep it updated and this fundraiser that were doing allows us to do that, allows us to keep purchasing newer, better equipment so that our babies get the best care that they can get," says Art Matthew, R. N.

You can also stop by the mall Friday and donate money. Last year, the network raised $260,000 in Albany.

This weekend, you can watch the telethon on WALB.
