Albany -- A 14 year old Albany teenager was shot this afternoon, apparently while horsing around with friends and a gun.

The shooting happened at a duplex on Gardner Drive in East Albany around 3:30.   The boys then ran to a nearby house on Renee' Drive where police and an ambulance were called.

Neighbors tell us the boys are all friends. APD released a report that states the bullet struck  Jamie M. Laster in the left hand and in the lower jaw area.

He was transported to Phoebe Putney Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Jamie is a student at Albany Middle School, and the other juvenile, who is 13, was not injured.
