Dougherty County -The family of a man critically injured in a near drowning incident Memorial Day says he is improving.

Family members say 35 year old Ronald Morgan responded to Doctors' last night at Phoebe's Intensive Care Unit, but he is still having to have a respirator help him breath.

Monday Morgan, an employee of Albany Water Gas and Light, fell while trying to pull a dog out of the water during a party at this dock on Crusoe Village Lane on Lake Chehaw.

He hit his head on the boat, and went underwater.

Morgan was not breathing when two friends pulled him out, and another performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
