Albany -- Albany Police say Sunday night's brawl at Boxer's Restaurant was gang related. Investigators are giving out no details , but believe the fight at the Northwest Albany club over the weekend involved rival gang members.
A Police officer working security at the club called for help about 2 AM Sunday when a fight involving between 20 and 30 men broke out in the Restaurant on Dawson Road.
Most of the people fighting ran when Officers arrived.
One Police car was totaled rushing to the scene, and one Police officer was injured during the fight. This 2007 Police Cruiser, with only 78-hundred miles on it, crashed while responding to the fight. Officer Ryan Jenkins said a car pulled out in front of him on Dawson Road, and he crashed while avoiding it.
During the melee, Corporal Marcus Mitchell twisted his knee. He is seeing a Doctor for that injury.
One man was arrested during the fight. A HEAT officer stopped a car leaving the club, arresting the driver for DUI.
