Sylvester-  Peter Pan Peanut Butter could be back on store shelves late this summer.

The Sylvester Con Agra Foods plant shut down in mid-February when a Salmonella outbreak linked to the plant made hundreds of people sick.  An investigation showed a leaky roof caused contamination in the plant that led to the bacterial outbreak.

A company spokeswoman says roof repairs should begin this week and the plant should be back in operation in August.  In the meantime, Con Agra contracted with another company to make Peter Pan Peanut Butter temporarily.

The brand should be back in stores in mid-July.
