Albany - The 4th of July fireworks show will go on in Albany, at least for now that's the plan. Fire Chief James Carswell says, as always, he'll have trucks and firefighters on hand just in case a fire starts from one of the sparks.

However, plans are a little different this year.  The fireworks will only take place from behind the Civic Center, and not along the Broad Avenue Bridge, because of construction at Riverfront park.

Carswell says the confined area will help lower any risks associated with fireworks, but everything will be taken into consideration.  He hopes within the next six weeks, we'll have plenty of rain to wash away any fire dangers.
