Albany Technical College student wins big

Albany-- An Albany Technical College student is the 2007 Georgia GOAL winner. Keldrique Lofton won the award last night in Atlanta. He got to drive home in a brand new car he was awarded by the GOAL program, which stands for Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership.

"This one is the icing on the cake, it really is. When I came to Albany Technical College I didn't know anything about the GOAL award, and to actually be able to represent everyone in the technical school society, that is really awesome for me. So it's really the crown on it all" said Albany Tech student Keldrique Lofton.

Lofton, was chosen from a group of students representing each of Georgia's 34 technical colleges. He is a first year student from Leary, Georgia and maintains a 3.85 GPA at Albany Tech and graduated in the top ten of his class at Monroe High School in 2006.
