Albany -- A family of ten is homeless after a fire gutted their East Highland home. By 6:00, firefighters had the fire extinguished, but were still on the scene to make sure.

Katrina Sapp was inside with her eight children when the fire started. About 4:45, she said she heard a loud explosion, and went to see what it was.

She said a power line had blown over some trees and onto her garage, and caused a fire. The garage was destroyed by the fire. Her car was also burned.

Sapp went inside to get her children. Several citizens driving by stopped to help. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

Ms. Sapp said she'd probably stay with relatives until she find make other arrangements.
