Albany - Former Florida State and Americus High star Alonzo Jackson had tough luck trying to get the birdie putts to drop at the annual AIM for Youth golf tournament.
Jackson was among several professional athletes in Albany this weekend for the tournament, auction and other activities.
Alonzo, who just signed with Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League, discussed his golf game with former FSU teammate Todd Williams.
Williams recalled a cold January day in Tallahassee when he loaded Alonzo an NFL jacket that turned out to predict Jackson's future.
Todd Williams said "So, I had a Pittsburgh Steelers jacket. Fairly new and I just gave it to him. But fate would have it. Who drafted you?
Alonzo Jackson SAID "Pittsburgh Steelers"
Williams, Thank you, my point exactly."
The AIM for Youth festivities include a football camp with the Atlanta Falcons Saturday morning.
