Lee County-- Lee County firefighters responded a fire in a wooded area next to Palmyra Mobile Home Park on Palmyra Road about seven o'clock Wednesday night. They quickly called the Forestry Commission for help. Firefighters stayed on the scene for several hours.
They aren't sure what happened, but they think some kids playing in the area may have started the fire. It burned an abandoned mobile home and an old car. Rangers plowed a firebreak to keep it away from occupied homes.
