Albany -- Albany's first marathon was such a big success... It will be back and bigger next year.

Race sponsor Masterfoods U-S-A raised more than 17-thousand dollars for construction of the Wilson Hospice House during its Snickers Marathon Energy Bar marathon on March 3rd.

Masterfoods also annoucned today that it will host the marathon again next year.

"This money will be used to help build the Willson Hospice House which will be our in-patient facility. And it's just wonderful to use this check to help with that project," says Patty Woodall of the Albany Community Hospice and Palliative Care.

More than 12-hundred volunteers helped put on the marathon.

Masterfoods expects the race to grow substantially with nearly two thousand runners next year.
