Bainbridge-- Just before 8:00 p.m., troopers stopped a truck at a road check on Hutchinson Ferry Road in southern Decatur County.
The driver didn't have any identification, and troopers suspected he'd been drinking. The man sped off and almost hit one of the patrolmen. After a mile and a half chase, the truck crashed into a utility pole.
The driver was killed on impact. GSP says they should have a positive identification by tomorrow morning.
