Tifton -- Former LPGA tournament champion Nanci Bowen gave her name and her time to a charity golf event in Tifton Monday.
The tournament in now in its eighth year, and over 300-thousand dollars has been raised for hospice and oncology in the previous seven.
The event has grown every year, with more than 120 participants in the morning and afternoon sessions, making it the largest turnout to date.
Bowen says helping to raise money for hospice and oncology was an easy sell.
"My uncle had hospice care when he had cancer," says Bowen. "I saw what a great organization that is, and obviously it touches most everybody. It's just been a great charity to be involved with."
Nanci Bowen won the Nabisco Dinah Shore event on the LPGA tour in 1995.
