Darton A.D. moving to West Florida

May 14, 2007

Pensacola, Fl. - Outgoing Darton College athletic director Todd Davis has found a new job.

Davis was named athletic director at the University of West Florida in Pensacola on Monday.

West Florida is a member of the Gulf South Conference and has 15 athletic teams.

Davis will start his new job on June 1st and will succeed Richard Berg who is retiring after 19 years.

Todd Davis was named athletic director at Darton in 2004.

Last year Darton won the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association Trophy Cup which is presented to the best two-year college athletic program in the state.

But Todd Davis wanted to return to working at a four-year institution and received permission from Darton president Dr. Peter Sireno to pursue such a position.

Darton has been interviewed several candidates for their new athletic director but no word in when Davis' successor will be named.
