Albany - It looks like a new Farmers Market in Downtown Albany is a go. Shirley Sherrod of the Southwest Georgia Food Alliance says she's currently working to purchase a $1 Million  insurance policy for the Saturday market and once that's signed, the county has agreed to let the Farmer's Market set up in part of the Downtown parking deck and temporary parking lot at the corner of Broad Avenue and Jackson Street.

So far, about 17 farmers have agreed to participate in the year round market which will take place every Saturday from 8 AM-1PM starting June 30th.
