Albany - Saturday's big showdown between the South Georgia Wildcats and Florida Firecats will feature one of the Af2s top offenses-- belonging to the Wildcats-- going against a Florida defense ranked third in the league.
The strength of the Florida defense lies with their strong pass rush.
One of the guys the Wildcats are counting on to slow down the Firecat defensive front is David Walker.
Walker was frustrated when he didn't get to dress out for two games early in the season.
Instead of giving up, Walker kept working hard in practice.
And when tight end Brandon Washington went down with hamstring injury against Alabama, Walker stepped in and has played solidly in the last two games.
David Walker said "It was tough. But you know you are playing professional football. So, you are dealing with certain things. As long as I practiced mentally and physically the whole week I was prepared. It was unfortunate that I couldn't go out there but I know I did a good job for the scout team and helping my guys out."
The South Georgia Wildcats host the Florida Firecats Saturday at hte Albany Civic Center.
