May 11, 2007

Ben Hill County - - Friday afternoon, Ben Hill Deputies found the body of a 32 year old man who drowned in a family pond.

It happened on McCrimmon Road off Lower Rebecca Road five miles west of Fitzgerald.

Deputies got a call around 3 o'clock Friday from a friend of Frank Ward Freeman, Jr. who reported him missing.

Freeman went camping out near the pond a few days ago.

Thursday night, he called his father to ask him to bring him some food.

Friday, deputies found that food still sitting in his pick up truck.

Deputies believed he drowned Friday night. They don't believe foul play is involved.
